Saturday December 15th at 1-3pm
West County Health Center 1st floor Conference Room
(13601 San Pablo Avenue, San Pablo, CA 94806)
We are excited to invite our colleagues, staff, patients and families, as well as our West County community partners and young people to join us for a fun-filled, hands-on session to learn about the EYE & HOW WE SEE!!! You will get to learn things like the anatomy of the eye, how we see color, how glasses help us see, or about our pupil reflex.
THE LADDER is a program for young folks aged 9-24 years old focused on health careers and science enrichment one Saturday every month. Our family medicine residents have led workshops focused on the lungs and asthma, the brain and stroke, and basic CPR techniques and emergency medicine. This is a program modeled after a successful pipeline program in Minnesota, where one of our trainees, Dr. Mariel Lougee went to med school and helped run the program. Looking forward to seeing you and young people!
